Trivia[]
- Bee and PuppyCat: Lazy in Space was officially announced on June 11th of 2018 with a trailer on Cartoon Hangover's YouTube Channel.
- While only announced in June of 2018, production and mention of a second season of Bee and PuppyCat was highly alluded to be in production. Early concepts for the season were shown at a panel at San Diego Comic Con in July 2017.
- The second episode of the season titled "Little Fingers" won the Animated Series competition of the Ottawa Animation Festival.
- Additionally, "Little Fingers" also made its world premiere at the festival.
- Even though Lazy in Space can be considered a second season, it is often referred to by Frederator, as a sequel series, rather than a sequel season.
- Lazy in Space was accidentally leaked by Frederator themselves just a week or so before its official debut on September 6th, 2022.
- The episode titles for this season are lines that are spoken in each respective episode. This could be a nod to how the anime series, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, also uses this naming formula for their episodes.
- Some changes were made both in terms of the behind the scenes of the show's production as well as some elements within the cartoon itself, between the original series and Lazy in Space.
- An example being the replacement of the animation studios, from Dong Woo Animations to OLM, Inc. the company that animates the Pokémon main series anime.
- Additionally, a subtle change of art style was also implemented as this season tends to lean more on the chibi side. Alongside this, a change of color palettes was also implemented every time Bee and PuppyCat take on a temp job.
- The change of Bee's love interest from a mutual crush she shares with Deckard Wizard, to an oblivious or one-sided crush one of Deckard's older brothers, Crispin Wizard, has on Bee.
