Castaspella "Cas" Wizard is a major supporting character in Bee and PuppyCat who made her debut in "Food".

She is the third youngest of the seven Wizard siblings.

History

Cas is shown to have a passion for wrestling, but was consistently ranked last in her category. As a result, she left wrestling to grudgingly pursue a career in coding. Her full name is Castaspella Wizard. Their parents named her and her brothers after fictional wizards.

Personality

Cas is implied to have a laid-back attitude at her job. She could possibly be competitive as well, given her intensive professional wrestling training, she also gets in to playful fights with her siblings. She is shown to constantly worry about her younger brother Deckard.

Despite her laid-back attitude, she shows a level of brutal honesty and, as a result, tends to speak her mind. She is somewhat tomboy with a bit of a girly streak. And although she presents herself as an adult with a put-together life, this seems to be a cover for her vulnerabilities, as it’s often hinted that she questions whether she’s really happy or has made the right choices.

She's repulsed by people's bodies, gagging when she hugs Deckard. She has a fear of touching others, which is what led to her poor performance in wrestling. Indirectly, it's also the reason why she agreed to train with Toast.

Appearance

Cas has short teal hair and a slightly lighter skin tone than her brother. She has an athletic build and dark blue eyes. Her signature outfit consists of a light mint checkered shirt a deep blue mini-pinafore,a pair of black pants with white and red-colored boots.

Cas is shown in other media besides the show to have vitiligo on her legs, a condition that causes spots of the skin to be lighter than others.

She also owns a wrestling mask with two horns on top, a crescent-shaped mark on the forehead, eye holes, and pointy white teeth.

Cas is trained in wrestling as she easily managed to beat her brother Deckard when they were little. Cas also managed to take down many other wrestlers, like Toast, in her younger days.

Deckard is Cas's brother. He is the sibling that Cas seems to be the closest with, as she becomes more reclusive after he leaves for cooking school. When the two were younger, she used to wrestle with him; often winning.

Crispin is one of Cas's brothers. While Crispin doesn’t speak much, he is very observant and is one of the few people to pick up on Cas’ crush on Toast.

Bee

Bee and Cas seem to be friends, although Cas sometimes finds her to be a little unusual due to her quirks. She is also afraid that Bee might be the reason why Deckard seems to "avoid his future."

Toast

Toast is a friend and rival from Cas’ wrestling days. Although Cas was a talented wrestler, she ranked last in her weight division. But when she left wrestling, that made Toast the lowest ranked.

To avoid being dead last, Toast repeatedly challenges Cas to rematches and eggs her to return to wrestling so Toast can reclaim her beloved title as second-to-last place.

While their relationship is contentious and openly combative, it’s revealed that Cas is actually harboring secret romantic feelings for Toast.

Trivia

• In the official Bee and PuppyCat: Easy Eats cook book, Cas' legs are shown for the first time, revealing she has vitiligo, which causes her to have lighter spots on her legs.
  • This is never seen in the actual show, even when her legs are shown.

• Cas' original name seems to have been Merlin, but was changed fairly late into production to be Cass. Merlin as a name for Cas can be seen during an interview with her voice actress Ashly Burch in the "Production Update - Bee and Puppycat: The Series" video on Cartoon Hangover's YouTube channel.
• Cas' full first name, Castaspella, may be a reference to the character Castaspella, a head sorcerer, from He-Man franchise.
  • This goes with the theme that all the Wizard family children are named after wizards.
• Though, the exact date was cut off from the post, it is revealed in a sticky note posted on Natasha's Instagram story that she and Deckard's birthday fall on December. ^{[citation needed]}
