Cardamon is very devoted to his mother. He surrounds her with origami and a paper banner, along with bringing her plates of candy. In an attempt to make her wake up, he tries to act like a prince by making PuppyCat and Sticky fall in love.
In "Donut", Bee brings leaves a donut on Cardamon's doorstep with a note stating that it will grant wishes. Cardamon gives a piece of it to Sticky, whose limbs turn different colors after eating it. He then puts the remainder of the donut in his mother's mouth. When she doesn't wake up, Cardamon begins to cry. As Cardamon lies on his mother, she begins to shed tears full of tiny jellyfish.
